D.O.R. has began in final months of 2004, with intent to express the impressive negativity, feelings and fears of the human mind, such things like hate, pain, suicidal feeling, nightmares, evil, darkness, devil worship, etc…
The first demo named “Torture & Pain”, a very simplistic and raw Black Metal was released in December 2004 by Brazilian Krieg Records, limited to 200 copies. The second work was more distorted and destructive, still in the process to obtain the desirable sound for the project. “The Essence of Self-Destruction” was made in March 2005, released through Skull Productions but for some reasons this demo was only available before 8 months and limited to 150 copies. The third and last demo “Blessed by Unholy Murder”, released through Silverwolf Records in September 2005. Faster than the previous works, only limited to 100 copies.
This was a long walk to the final stage of this project… Today, D.O.R. doesn’t sounds like the previous works, more atmospheric mid-tempo Black Doom Metal.
Burzum, Mütiilation, Xasthur, Nortt, Bethlehem, Graveland, Leviathan, Paysage D’hiver, Nargaroth… these are some of the few bands that I felt influenced by.
